Reliability monitoring, built for the way you ship
We're a small, remote-first, developer-led team on a mission to make reliability monitoring something every team can set up in minutes — not days.
Our mission
Downtime and broken user journeys cost teams trust and revenue — but the tools to catch them are often heavyweight, expensive, or built for ops teams rather than the engineers who actually ship the code. CheckBeacon exists to close that gap: fast to set up, accurate to trust, and flexible enough to monitor both your APIs and the real user-facing flows that sit on top of them.
Our story
CheckBeacon was founded in 2025 by a small group of engineers who were tired of cobbling together uptime pings, ad-hoc scripts, and dashboards that didn't talk to each other. We wanted one tool that could check an API endpoint, validate the response, and also click through a real login flow in a browser — on a schedule, from multiple regions, with alerts that only fire when something is actually wrong.
We're a developer-led, remote-first company. Our team is distributed across time zones, which shapes how we build: everything in CheckBeacon — checks, results, groups, alerts — is available through a documented REST API, because we believe the UI should be one of many ways to use the product, not the only way.
Our values
The principles that guide how we build and support CheckBeacon.
Reliability
The tool you trust to tell you something is broken has to be more reliable than the thing it's watching. We hold ourselves to that bar.
Developer-first
Every feature in the UI is also a documented API call. If you can click it, you can script it — that's non-negotiable for us.
Transparency
Clear pricing, honest status pages, and a self-hostable option for teams who want full control over their monitoring data.
